belonging to or suitable for an assembly of the people : contionalis prope clamor senatūs, Cic. Q. Fr. 2, 5, 1: genus dicendi, Quint. 8, 4, 1: officium, id. 3, 8, 14: hirudo aerarii, Cic. Att. 1, 16, 11: senex, who went about in the assemblies of the people for the purpose of exciting the multitude , Liv. 3, 72, 4; cf. comitialis.
