turning aside (perh. only in the two foll. places): declinia juga, Stat. Th. 5, 297 (quae declinarent et fugerent, Schol.). So of the retreating motion of the sea in ebb and flood: undae, ebbing , Luc. 4, 427 dub. (al. declivibus).
