a pressing or sinking down, a depression (not ante-Aug., and very rare), Macr. S. 1, 20: fundamentorum ad solidum, Vitr. 1, 3, 2: Socratica nasi, i. e. flat nose (opp. curva erectio), Macr. S. 7, 3, § 11.
