an indicating or rating the value of a thing; hence, value , price , rate , = indicatio (Plinian): neque est hodie murrhini alterius praestantior indicatura, Plin. 37, 2, 7, § 18: dolorum, physicians’ fees for curing diseases , id. 29, 1, 8, § 21.
