lĕgŭlus, i, m. [2. lego],

a gatherer, collector; esp. one who picked up the fallen olives (opp. strictor, he who beat or shook them from the tree; ante- and post-class.): ab legendo leguli, qui oleam aut qui uvas legunt, Varr.
