ŏpŭlentus, a, um (less freq. ŏpŭlens, entis, Sall. J. 69, 3; Nep. Chabr. 3, 3; Ap. Met. 10, 19, 12; Aus. Idyll. 2, 7), adj. [ops, cf. Varr. L. L. 5, § 92 Müll.], rich, wealthy, opulent (syn.: dives, locuples; opp. inops, Cic. Lael. 13, 46; id. Off. 2, 20, 70; class.).
