to sacrifice very auspiciously , or with very favorable omens : res divinae recte perlitatae, Val. Antias ap. Gell. 1, 7, 10: saluti, Liv. 41, 15: bove perlitare jussus, id. 41, 14.— Impers. pass. : primis hostiis perlitatum est, Liv. 36, 1: diu non perlitatum tenuerat dictatorem, it being long before the sacrifices gave a favorable omen , id. 7, 8, 5.
