to bring any thing to a god before the temple , i. e. to dedicate , consecrate , offer in sacrifice (ante-class.): daps profanata, Cato R. R. 50: profanato sine contagione, id. ib. 132: decimam Herculi, Massur. Sabin. ap. Macr. S. 3, 6: ad aram decimam bovum, Fest. s. v. potitium, p. 237 Müll.; Aur. Vict. Orig. Gent.
