a leaving behind , a forsaking , abandoning : vituperatio desperationis ac relictionis rei publicae (just before, relinques patriam?), Cic. Att. 16, 7, 5: relictionem proditionemque consulis sui, id. Verr. 2, 1, 13, § 35: propter argenti vivi relictionem, i. e. because of its separation from it , Vitr. 7, 9, 1.
