I Lit., of or belonging to the thymele or to the orchestra; hence, subst.: thy-mĕlĭci , ōrum, m., theatrical musicians (opp. scaenici, actors), Vitr. 5, 8; Dig. 3, 2, 4 init.

II Transf., in gen., = scaenicus, of or belonging to the theatre : choragium, Ap. Mag. p. 282: Thymelica obscenitas, Aug. Civ. Dei, 6, 7 fin. — Substt.
