a rope that guides a sail , a sheet (Plautin.); hence, trop.: versoriam capere, to turn the sail , i. e. tack : cape vorsoriam, Recipe te ad erum, about ship! Plaut. Trin. 4, 3, 19: cape modo vorsoriam, id. Merc. 5, 2, 34.
