Arupium

ARU´PIUM(It. Ant.: Arypium, Tab. Peut.; Ἀρουπἰνοι, Ἀρουπἰνος, Strab.: Eth. Αὐρουπἰνοι, App.; Auersperg? or nr. Mungava), a town of the Iapydes in Illyricum, which was taken by Augustus, after it had been deserted by its inhabitants. (Appian, App. Ill. 16; Strab. 4. p. 207, 7. p. 314.)
