Plin. 5.1), a gulf on the W. coast of Mauretania, S. of the river Lixus, which must be identified with the EMPORICUS SINUST he Phoenician word Sacharutsignifies Emporia,and by an elision not uncommon among the Africans assumed the form under which it appears in Polybius.
