THERIO´DES SINUS(Θηριώδης κόλπος, Ptol. 7.3.2), a gulf on the coast of the Sinae, between the promontories Notium (Νότιον), and Satyron (Σατύρων). Perhaps the gulf of Tonkin, or that between the Cape St. Jamesand the river of Campodja.
