A´NNIBI MONTES(τά Ἄννιβα ὄρη, Ptol. 6.16), ANNIVA (Ammian. 23.6), one of the principal mountain chains of Asia, in the extreme NE. of Scythia, and running into Serica: corresponding, apparently, to the Little Altaior the NE. part of the Altaichain.
