VENEDICI MONTES(τὰ Οὐενεδικὰ ὄρη, Ptol. 3.5.15), certain mountains of European Sarmatia, bounding the territory of the Venedae on the S. They were probably the low chain of hills which separates East Prussiafrom Poland.
